Sorry for the last minute cancellation of ZOOM classes for grades 7-10 today! This at times will be unavoidable as our area is further disrupted by COVID 19, but it is an important season and I really miss experiencing it with our whole community, most especially our teachers and kids! So, as we would do if we were all together, I lit our Advent Wreath and said a prayer!
Prayer: Advent Peace
Lord, we look for and long for your coming,
we ask you to teach us to be a people of peace.
Whether it be in our world or in our homes,
please show us the peace that only you can bring.
Help us to tuck your peace so deeply inside our hearts
that nothing of this world can disturb it.
As we move through this Advent Season, teach us the way to be peace to others.
Amen.
I know that so many of you love the Advent Wreath tradition and I'm happy you are finding ways to make them at home! Here is one from Maryna in 5th grade that was shared with me this week!
"Hi Mrs. Gape, brought in some pine from outside and used these little wooden candles and berries Maryna got last year and hot glued to paper plate. :)"
Thanks Maryna!! Love the candle too!
In addition to our prayer, there are so many other activities you can do if you are trying to get into the Spirit of Christmas this week! Click to find our Diocesan Building Faith @Home sheet with great ideas! Also, not sure if you know about these video's!
Also, remember that Tuesday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception! Stop back for updates!
I hope you are all keeping up to date with your Gospel Weeklies and prayers! Remember to take care of yourselves and each other!
