Eastertide

Hello All! I took a little time away from all of this after Easter just to try to catch my breath. I hope this update finds you well as we continue our social distancing and stay home duty.

We had our last class scheduled for grades 1 and grades 3-9 this passed Sunday (4/26)  and worksheets and a final letter were mailed home to fulfill those final lessons and hopefully keep some continuity in the children's schedules. This was the final of three mailings that the children should have received and I only had a couple returned so I hope that means that everyone else got theirs.

I know first hand that the days are unpredictable and that trying to balance schoolwork and work, not to mention other household duties can take up the whole day, but I wanted the kids to have the worksheets in case they wanted to just enjoy them. I will periodically also update the blogs.

Grade 2 was sent a mailing today since they will meet again once we have an idea about re-opening, currently we are unsure when that will be and what that will look like.

Grade 10 will also have a couple more classes to prepare for Confirmation when the time comes.

Right now we are just waiting on instruction from the State and then the Diocese. Please let the kids know that they are very much missed! So are you!

But here we are on the First of May! May Day!

May is the month dedicated to Mary, our Blessed Mother. We are also in what is called "Eastertide" that period of time between Easter and Pentecost. There are many ways to experience and engage in these times and  a great time to add a little something different to the routine. Things are much more bearable when we pray our way through them.

In addition, I wanted to share some ways that are nourishing to our faith lives. Below are some links and some ideas.  Many ideas can be seen on the Diocese website but I am including some great sites below that the family can use!

Catholic Icing

Loyola Press-- Family

Teaching Catholic Kids

Other sites that might interest you! Learning about the disciples in the time between the Resurrection and Pentecost:

Some places to visit during this month!

I hope some of these will make for a more meaningful May! Please know you are all held in prayer!
