Blessed Palm Sunday!
As we embark on what may be the most unusual Holy Week of our lives, let's give thanks for the gift of technology and creativity and for the devotion of so many people who are trying to find ways to keep our community in-tact and nourished through these challenging times.
At St. John's, we recognize that much has been thrown at you as parents, grandparents, or guardians in this past month, and that managing all of it, in addition to the stress of the pandemic, is an awful lot. Our primary response is to accompany one another through this time.
We hope you are able to access whatever you need via our social media reach. Please remember that whatever we offer as ideas or suggestions to enrich this week are simply that; ideas and suggestions. Our hope is that the Holy Week @Home resource will help to engage your family in our Holy Week and Easter rituals since we are unable to gather as community in our church. These are not assignments.
Please know that you continue to be in our thoughts and in our prayers. As we pray together on these Holy Days we hope that you remember the people of our community, especially those most vulnerable as well as those who are suffering because of COVID 19 around the world.

Make sure you are following us on whatever social platform you use and especially on YouTube for Fr. Tom's weekly words of wisdom, also known as his homily!
Please also note that I will be mailing activities home to the kids so that they can continue sharing the Gospel and learning their faith. Please share it with us how your family is living out Holy Week and we will share it with others on the kids blog and Facebook or Instagram, with your permission. It is such a great opportunity to show people what our faith means to us, to show that even when we are separated we are still one body in the one Spirit. You never know who may need to see it!

Many blessings to you all and I look forward to the day we can once again celebrate the gift of our faith together!
